IntelleSkill vs AICTE/EduSkills Virtual Internships

The AICTE–EduSkills programme is the largest virtual internship scheme in India: free to students, run in cohorts, and ending in a vendor certificate (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure) plus a verified entry on the AICTE portal. It is excellent for learning a cloud platform at scale. What it does not produce is a project unique to each student, reviewed by a person, with a score — the per-student evidence that NBA criteria 2.2.5 and Criterion 3 ask for. IntelleSkill is built to produce exactly that, and most colleges should keep running EduSkills alongside it.

Where AICTE/EduSkills is the better choice

  • You want cloud-platform certification at zero cost for a whole batch.
  • You need coverage for branches IntelleSkill does not yet serve.
  • Students want a vendor-branded credential on LinkedIn.

Where IntelleSkill is the better choice

  • Your IQAC or NBA coordinator needs per-student evidence of what each student built, not a certificate bundle.
  • You want a reviewer with industry experience to sign off each student's work.
  • You want a project a recruiter can open, read and question the student on.

Questions

Can a college use both?

Yes, and that is the recommendation on the /universities page: keep the free platforms for content and use IntelleSkill for the credit you have to defend.

Does IntelleSkill claim AICTE recognition?

No. It claims no recognition by AICTE, NBA or NAAC. It produces evidence your college submits under its own processes.

Is an EduSkills certificate enough for internship credit?

Whether to award credit is the institution's decision under the AICTE Internship Policy; what assessors look for is evidence of the activity, which is where per-student records help.
